1. INTRODUCTION
ColorNest is an offline color palette creation and organization app. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles the information you enter, palettes you create, and images you choose to process. The sample publisher details above must be replaced with accurate, working business contact information before this policy is published.
2. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
ColorNest allows you to enter color values, generate palettes, name and save palettes, mark favorites, and adjust app preferences. These records are stored locally on your device. No account or sign-in is required.
3. IMAGE COLOR EXTRACTION
If you choose an image from your device, ColorNest processes the selected image locally to extract colors and generate HEX values. The app does not need to upload the image to a server for this feature. Choosing an image is optional. The app only accesses the image you select through the device's image selection interface.
4. LOCAL STORAGE AND APP PREFERENCES
Saved palettes, favorites, generated color values, and relevant settings are maintained in local app storage. They remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them, transfer them through a backup, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Device backups controlled by your operating system may have separate rules, although the app is configured not to permit standard Android application backup.
5. EXPORTS, BACKUPS, AND RESTORATION
ColorNest may let you export palettes as PNG files or copy HEX codes. If you choose to export a file, it is saved to the destination you select and may remain there even after app data is deleted. The backup and restore functions let you save and import a local JSON file. You control where those files are stored or shared. Other apps or storage services that you choose may process exported files under their own privacy practices.
6. INTERNET ACCESS, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING
The current offline version of ColorNest is designed to operate without an internet connection. It does not require an account and is not designed to send palette information, selected images, or usage data to the developer's servers. This version does not integrate in-app advertising or analytics tracking services. This statement should be reviewed if future releases add online features, third-party libraries, or advertising.
7. PERMISSIONS
When you use optional features such as selecting an image, exporting a palette, or importing a backup, Android may present a system file or photo picker. Access is used for the specific action you initiate. ColorNest does not require continuous access to your photos, camera, contacts, or location to perform its core offline palette functions.
8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
You can delete saved palettes within the app or use its data-clearing options. You may also clear app storage through your device settings or uninstall the app. Files you have previously exported or backed up outside the app must be deleted separately from their saved locations.
9. DATA SECURITY
ColorNest relies on Android's app storage isolation and device security controls for locally stored information. No method of storage is completely risk free. We recommend keeping your device and operating system updated and protecting any exported backup files.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ColorNest is a general-purpose creative tool. The offline version does not provide account registration or intentionally collect children's personal information through an online service. Parents or guardians should supervise device and file-sharing activity where appropriate.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
ColorNest's core functionality does not depend on remote third-party services. If you use an operating system file picker, external storage provider, or share exported files with another service, that service's policies may apply to the files you give it.
12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This policy may be updated when ColorNest's features or data handling practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an updated version is published.
